FAQ

How do I get to Gili Trawangan?

From Bali, there are numerous daily fast boats, such as Marina Srikandi, Gili Cat and Blue Water Express.  They organise an a/c mini van to pick you up at your hotel in Bali about 7:00am and take you to either Benoa Harbour or Padang Bai for your trip to Gili Trawangan.  Cost is 650000rp approx. return, depending on the season.

How do I get to Trawangan Oasis?

From Trawangan Harbour where the fast boats arrive, we recommend taking a Cidomo (horse carriage) to our place.  This will cost Rp75,000.  The cidomo will take you across the middle of the island, but when you arrive you will be 150 metres from North Beach.

What is the weather like?

Gili Trawangan’s weather is tropical with 12hrs of sunshine year round (6:30am to 6:30pm) and temperatures of between 28C to 34C (83F – 94F).  Wet season is from November to March, but this generally means a short afternoon shower of rain.

Is there any nightlife?

A short bike ride brings you to a number or restaurants and bars.  You can enjoy fresh seafood, pizzas, Indonesian food, Indian food, Japanese and many other types of food.  Many bars have large screen TV’s so you can enjoy sporting events or the latest movies.  You can also choose a beachside table and enjoy the wonderful view over the water towards Lombok and cool off with the ocean breeze with your favourite drink.

Anything else I should know?

There are now multiple ATM’s on the Island.  Most restaurants and bars charge 10% for the use of credit cards, so bring enough rupiah (the local currency) when you come.  Each of our rooms have a security safe whch you can code with your own number.
